What records must be kept related to publicly owned treatment works (POTWs) reporting?

The recordkeeping requirements for POTWs and Industrial Users subject to reporting requirements are outlined in 40 CFR 403.12(o). Records should be retained for a minimum of 3 years and should include for all samples:

• The date, exact place, method, and time of sampling and the names of the person or persons taking the samples;
• The dates analyses were performed;
• Who performed the analyses;
• The analytical techniques/methods used; and
• The results of the analyses.
