There are currently no specific OSHA standards for anthrax. However, multiple OSHA standards address protective measures for workers with potential anthrax exposure. These include:

Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) standard (29 CFR 1910.120).
Respiratory Protection standard (29 CFR 1910.134).
Hazard Communication standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
Occupational Exposure to Hazardous Chemicals in Laboratories standard (29 CFR 1910.1450).
40 CFR Part 311, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standard applying to state and local government workers in states where there is no OSHA-approved State Plan.
