Section 384.226 prohibits a state from masking driving convictions. Masking a conviction means deferring imposition of judgment, or allowing an individual to enter into a diversion program that would prevent a CDL driver’s conviction for a violation from appearing on the driver’s record. Section 384.226 requires the offense to appear on the driver’s record whether or not the offense occurred in the state of licensing.
