Before a company may sell a pesticide product, it must either obtain a federal registration for its own product or become a supplemental registrant for a product that’s already federally registered. The types of registrations include:

Obtaining a registration for a pesticide product,
Obtaining a supplemental registration to distribute a product already registered by another company, and
Amending the registration of a product already registered to incorporate changes (e.g., adding or changing uses).
