Most injuries are from unintentionally firing of nails that contact a worker. Over half of reported nail gun injuries are to the hand and fingers. Other common injuries are to legs, knees, feet, and toes. These injuries often result in damage to nerves, bones, tendons, and joints. Serious nail gun injuries can also occur to the head, neck, eyes, internal organs, and spinal cord. These serious injuries have resulted in fractures, blindness, brain damage, paralysis, and even death.
