State Info
In Pennsylvania, concealed carry of a firearm is legal for adults aged 21 and older who are allowed under state and federal law to possess a firearm and who have a state License to Carry Firearms (LTCF). This is also true for carrying a concealed weapon in a private vehicle; a non-resident permit may be recognized if the state has reciprocity with Pennsylvania. Local restrictions may apply.
Permits
Permits are available to qualified Pennsylvania residents and to non-residents who already hold a valid carry permit from their home states. Permits are issued by local sheriffs’ offices and are valid for five years. Pennsylvania has moderate reciprocity with other states, recognizing concealed carry permits from more than half of the states.
