New Hampshire is a constitutional carry state, which means law-abiding adults 18 years and older who can legally possess a firearm under federal and state law may carry a concealed handgun without obtaining a permit. This extends to concealed carry within a private vehicle.
Permits
Permits are not required but may be useful for reciprocity with other states. Permits are issued by local law enforcement for qualified residents, and by the state Department of Justice for non-residents. As a constitutional carry state, New Hampshire has broad reciprocity with other states. Any person 18 and over who can legally possess a firearm may carry it concealed without a permit.
