According to 1910.37(b)(4), the employer must post signs along all exit accesses indicating the direction of travel to the nearest exit and exit discharge if that direction is not immediately apparent.
According to 1910.37(b)(5) the employer also needs to mark doors or passages along an exit access that could be mistaken for an exit with “Not an Exit” or with a sign identifying its use.
If you do not want to maintain these doors as part of an exit access, they should be indicated as such, and you must indicate an actual exit access.
