Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
Washington has labor relations laws related to unfair labor practices; however they provide similar protections to the National Labor Relations Act for private sector employment.
The state does have regulations specifically prohibiting bribery of a labor representative.
Right to work
The state has no right to work law.
Public employees
Washington has specific labor relations and collective bargaining laws for public sector employees, including specific laws for municipal utility workers, marine employees, and educational employees.
