Idaho has specific labor relations laws; however they provide coverage similar to the National Labor Relations Act and Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act regarding unions in private sector employment.

The state has specific collective bargaining laws governing teachers’ and firefighters’ bargaining rights.

Right to work

Idaho has a right to work law. This prohibits conditioning employment on membership or dues payment in a union.
