Yes. One chain can be routed through two anchor points on the equipment and serve in place of two separate tiedowns. This option isn’t discussed in the regulations but is a widely accepted practice. A binder is needed on each end/side so both sides can be tightened and adjusted separately. A span of loose chain would also need to be left in the middle so the failure of one end wouldn’t impact the other.
