Truck drivers in California are subject to both federal and state laws regarding overtime. Drivers are exempt from overtime according to California state law if their hours are regulated by either the U.S. Dept. of Transportation (49 CFR 395.1 to 395.13) or by Title 13 of the California Code of Regulations, subchapter 6.5, section 1200 et. seq.
