Dangerous goods transport

An agreement respecting administration of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992 was signed by representatives of Transport Canada in 1995 and the Province of Saskatchewan in 1996.

Hazardous waste

A permit to operate a hazardous substance waste dangerous goods storage facility applies to facilities regulated by the Ministry of Environment and includes any:

• Facility that is used for storing and handling hazardous substances or waste dangerous goods; and
• Warehouse, yard, storage tank, container, stockpile, pipe or equipment that is used for those purposes.

Permits may be obtained by contacting any local Ministry of Environment office or the Regina office at (306) 787-2080.
