Alaska operates an OSHA-approved State Plan covering most private sector workers and all state and local government workers and has adopted federal OSHA standards, incorporating them by reference. The Alaska Occupational Safety and Health Division (AKOSH) has an additional requirement for toxic and hazardous substances in general industry.
Alaska Statute Title 18. Health, Safety, Housing, Human Rights, and Public Defender, Chapter 60. Safety Article 1. Prevention of Accident and Health Hazards, Sec. 18.60.065 requires toxic and hazardous substances imported into the state to be accompanied by a federal OSHA Form 20 or equivalent information.
