Subsidiary labels, just like primary labels, must have the hazard class or division number in the lower corner of the label.
Scope
All hazmat employees must be trained on when to use hazmat markings and labels. Labels are required for each package containing a hazardous material. The rules for subsidiary labels are found in 49 CFR 172.402.

Packages containing a hazardous material must be labeled with primary and subsidiary hazard labels as specified in column 6 of the 172.101 table (unless excepted in paragraph (a)(2) of this section).
