Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
The Utah Labor Commission, Utah Anti-Discrimination and Labor Division, Employment Standards Bureau administers and enforces civil rights and labor standards which have been enacted for the protection of state workers.
There are no major differences between federal and state subminimum wage regulations; however, the commission may establish or may set a lesser minimum wage for learners not to exceed the first 160 hours of employment.
