Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
The Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, Bureau of Labor Law Compliance administers and enforces civil rights and labor standards which have been enacted for the protection of state workers.
There are no major differences between federal and state subminimum wage regulations; however, the minimum wage for learners and students may not be less than 85 percent of the minimum wage rate.
