Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
The Indiana Department of Labor administers and enforces civil rights and labor standards which have been enacted for the protection of state workers. There are no major differences between federal and state subminimum wage regulations.
The state of Indiana allows for a ninety day training program before minimum wage must be payed to that employee. There are also exemptions for those employees under the age of 20 years, and those providing in-home companionship services.
