Summary of differences between federal and state regulations
The Delaware Department of Labor, Division of Industrial Affairs administers and enforces civil rights and labor standards which have been enacted for the protection of district workers. The state of Delaware generally follows the federal rule in regard to subminimum wages.
The state allows several exemptions from paying the minimum wage for the disabled, apprentices, and student learners.
