The Wyoming Department of Transportation (DOT) requires compliance with the federal Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR), Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 107, 130, 171-173, 177-180, as well as Parts 40, 373, 382, 383, 385, 390-393 and 395-397 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as revised.
The Wyoming DOT exercises regulatory control over the transportation of hazardous materials within the state.
The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Solid and Hazardous Waste Division (SHWD), is responsible for the hazardous waste management program within Wyoming.
