The Secretary of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has adopted by reference the federal Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMR), Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 107, 130, 171 – 173, 175, 177, 178, and 180. The adoption applies to the transportation of hazardous materials by air or highway.
The Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) regulate the transportation of hazardous materials within the state.
The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet (EEC) is the lead agency in developing and administering the hazardous waste management program within Kentucky.
