Utah defines a private motor carrier as a person who provides transportation for property or passengers by commercial motor vehicle and is not a for-hire motor carrier. PSC Rules define private carriers to include wholly-owned corporate subsidiaries.

Interstate

Utah is a participating member of the Unified Carrier Registration Agreement (UCRA). Online registration and fee payment is recommended and available to all carriers at the national UCRA website at www.ucr.in.gov.
