Intrastate
A carrier classified as “Private Commercial” under Mississippi registration and the classification “Private Carrier” is confined to a carrier transporting their own property. There are no statutory provisions and no regulatory fees required. Mississippi does have a financial responsibility law.
Interstate
Mississippi is a participating member of the Unified Carrier Registration Agreement (UCRA). Online registration and fee payment is recommended and available to all carriers at the national UCRA website at www.ucr.in.gov.
