Intrastate
Intrastate private carriers are not required to obtain a permit for authority, but are required to carry proof of current insurance in the vehicle.
Insurance: Intrastate: $25,000/50,000 PL; $15,000 PD. Intrastate hazardous material carriers— either $1 or 5 million coverage. No filing required, but must carry proof of current insurance in the vehicle.
Interstate
Idaho is a participating member of the Unified Carrier Registration Agreement (UCRA). Online registration and fee payment is recommended and available to all carriers at the national UCRA website at www.ucr.in.gov.
