Pay transparency
Employers in the District of Columbia must provide the minimum and maximum projected salary range in any job listing. Private employers with 25 or more employees must also disclose the schedule of benefits, such as bonuses, stocks, bonds, and other compensation, to prospective employees.
Salary history
Employers may not screen prospective employees by wage history, nor require an applicant’s wage history to satisfy minimum or maximum requirements. Employers may not require job applicants to disclose their wage history, as a condition of being interviewed or considered for an offer of employment.
