Nevada has adopted federal OSHA standards and incorporates them by reference. The Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Nevada OSHA) has additional requirements for workers in certain industries to complete 10-hour and/or 30-hour OSHA safety training programs.
- Construction: All construction workers in the state must complete a 10-hour OSHA construction safety course. All supervisors must complete the 30-hour training course.
- Entertainment industry: All entertainment industry workers in the state must complete a 10-hour OSHA general health and safety course at least once every five years, and supervisors must complete the 30-hour course at least once every five years.
- Convention services: All convention service industry workers in the state must complete a 10-hour OSHA general health and safety course at least once every five years, and supervisors must complete the 30-hour course at least once every five years.
- Cannabis industry: Within one year after hire date, non-supervisory employees of cannabis establishments must complete a 10-hour OSHA safety course; supervisory employees must complete the 30-hour course within one year of hire.
