The only references to requiring fire extinguishers on equipment doing construction work are:
- 1926.550(a)(14)(i) An accessible fire extinguisher of 5BC rating, or higher, shall be available at all operator stations or cabs of equipment (cranes and derricks).
- 1926.902(i) Each vehicle used for transportation of explosives shall be equipped with a fully charged fire extinguisher in good condition.
