No, the extent of a regulated area may vary depending on the work activity involved. For example, an area in which employee methylene chloride exposures are not normally over the 8 hour TWA or STEL, because the methylene chloride is contained inside sealed equipment, may need to be designated as a regulated area during work which requires opening the equipment.
