Chapter 1 – General provisions as to civil action
§1-1-120 - Persons rendering emergency assistance exempt from civil liability. Those who provide assistance in good faith are exempt from civil damages barring gross negligence.
Chapter 35 – Public health and safety
§35-26-101 through 103 – Defines AED, requires AED training via a federally or state recognized course, the unit is tested and maintained, a licensed physician is involved, and that the acquirer of the unit notifies an agent of the emergency communications center and the local ambulance service of the existence, location and type of AED.
