For information on Good Samaritan laws, please see the following Tennessee Codes:
§63-6-218: Good Samaritan Law. Provides immunity for those who participate or assist in rendering emergency care, including use of an automated external defibrillator.
§68-140-701 through 68-140-710: Automated External Defibrillators. Provides definition of AED, along with training requirements via the American Heart Association or equivalent, testing and maintaining requirements, and registering the unit(s) with local emergency providers. Also entails requirements for an AED program, and provides immunity for those responsible for the program.
