No permit is required for the transportation of hazardous materials within the state.

Transportation of Hazardous Waste

Prior to transporting hazardous waste within Tennessee, a transporter must obtain a Hazardous Waste Transporter permit and submit registration and notification of hazardous waste activity to the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation.
