Transportation of Hazardous Materials
A permit is not required to transport hazardous materials within the state.
Transportation of Hazardous Waste
A transporter license, which can be obtained from the Pennsylvania DEP, is required to transport hazardous waste within Pennsylvania.
A check for $500 made payable to the “Commonwealth of Pennsylvania” must accompany the license application. Additionally, there is a $5 fee for each vehicle identification (license) card requested in excess of ten cards. The application fee is non-refundable.
