A permit is not required to transport hazardous materials within the state.

Transportation of Hazardous Waste

Transporters of hazardous waste haulers are required to obtain a license from the New Jersey DEP prior to transportation. To receive a license, transporters must file a Disclosure Statement, meet the Hazardous Waste Licensing requirements, and pass an Integrity Review by the New Jersey State Police and Attorney General’s Office.
