Transportation of Hazardous Materials

No permit is required to transport hazardous materials within the state.

Transportation of Hazardous Waste

Transporters are required to obtain a license from the Massachusetts DEP to transport hazardous waste within the state. Each license is issued for five years and must be renewed thereafter. Transporters must also have a valid United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) identification number.
