Transportation of Hazardous Materials
No permit is required for the transportation of hazardous materials within Illinois.
Transportation of Hazardous Waste
All transporters of hazardous waste are required to obtain a United States EPA identification number, as well as complete the 39(i) Certification form and Special Waste Hauling Permit application. The 39(i) Certification form and Special Waste Hauling Permit application must be submitted together, via mail, to the IEPA. Hazardous waste must also be manifested.
