Transportation of Hazardous Materials
No permit is required to transport hazardous materials within the state.
Transportation of Hazardous Waste
All hazardous wastes shipped within or throughout Arkansas must be properly contained, labeled, and transported only by permitted hazardous waste transporters. Hazardous Waste Manifest Forms must be used as shipping papers to document the shipment of hazardous wastes within or throughout Arkansas. Hazardous wastes may only be shipped to permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs). To view specific TSDFs within Arkansas, visit the TSDF page at www.adeq.ar.us.
Permits are required for the transportation of hazardous waste within Arkansas. To receive information regarding transportation permits, contact the Arkansas Highway Police. To view permit forms, view Hazardous Waste permits at www.ardot.gov.
Motor Fuel
Arkansas Motor Fuel Laws require motor fuel carriers to obtain a motor fuel license to import fuel into the state or to export fuel out of the state, and the laws require any load of fuel being imported or exported to be accompanied by an Import/Export Load Permit.
