OSHA does not distinguish between hearing and hard of hearing employees concerning hearing protection. If the noise levels in the work environment require hearing protection for exposed employees, it must be provided. Actually, it is more important for a person who is hard of hearing to wear protection in order to preserve the amount of hearing the person has left.
