OSHA says at 1910.107(g)(2) that all spraying areas (including sprinkler heads) must be kept as free from the accumulation of deposits of combustible residues as practical, with cleaning conducted daily if necessary. Scrapers, spuds, and other tools used for cleaning purposes must be of non-sparking material.
