W-4 — How often may employees change their withholding?
According to the IRS, this is entirely up to the employee. This means that if an employee works a lot of overtime and wants to claim more withholding one pay period, and then change it back to a normal withholding the next pay period, there is nothing in the IRS laws that prohibit this.
