How much notification does a carrier receive for a compliance review?

When a carrier is selected for a compliance review, the carrier is notified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Notification generally takes the form of a written letter. A carrier will be given at least 48 hours’ notice (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays) to produce the records that will be examined during the compliance review.
