How long must I retain trip inspection reports?

Daily trip inspection reports must be kept for at least six months from the date on the report. Please note that if the trip inspection report contains “certification of repairs” information, certain provinces may now consider the trip inspection report to be a maintenance record. In certain jurisdictions, maintenance records must be kept for two years (or longer, depending on the jurisdiction). Consult jurisdiction regulations for more information.
