How do we select the right sling?

Not all slings are alike, so slings must be selected in accordance with their intended use, based upon the size and type of load, and the environmental conditions of the workplace. Slings can be divided into six types and each with its own particular advantages and disadvantages: alloy steel chain, wire rope, metal mesh, natural and synthetic fiber rope, synthetic web, and synthetic round slings.
