One helps prevent the other. Ergonomics is the scientific study of how people work in relation to their environment . MSDs are cumulative and chronic injuries of the soft tissue-muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, joints, and blood vessels that can be caused by environmental stressors like force, vibration, repetitive motion, and awkward postures. The goal of ergonomics is to prevent injuries and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs).
