North Carolina has adopted Part 395 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and all subsequent amendments.
Part 395 applies to all intrastate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight rating, gross vehicle weight, or gross combination weight of 26,001 pounds or more, whichever is greater, and any vehicles transporting hazardous materials required to be placarded.
Under North Carolina’s adoption of 395.1(k), the state’s planting and harvesting season is January 1 through December 31 of each year.
