Louisiana has adopted Part 395 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), revised as of January 1, 2021, and subsequent amendments.

Part 395 applies to all intrastate commercial motor vehicles with a single or combined gross vehicle weight or gross vehicle weight rating over 26,000 pounds, and all vehicles transporting hazardous materials.

Electronic logging device (ELD)

Louisiana has adopted the electronic logging device (ELD) requirements in Part 395 for intrastate motor carriers and drivers.
