District of Columbia has adopted Part 395 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), as currently in effect.

Part 395 applies to vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating or gross combination weight rating exceeding 10,000 pounds, and to any vehicle transporting hazardous materials requiring placards.

Electronic logging device (ELD)

District of Columbia has adopted the electronic logging device (ELD) requirements in Part 395 for intrastate motor carriers and drivers.
