Alaska has adopted Part 395 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs), revised as of March 15, 2023.
Part 395 applies to a self-propelled or towed vehicle that has a gross vehicle weight rating, gross combination weight rating, gross vehicle weight, or gross combination weight of 14,000 pounds or more, or is used to transport hazardous materials.

Alaska has adopted the electronic logging device (ELD) requirements in Part 395 for intrastate motor carriers and drivers.
