Hazardous waste cleanup programs - Oklahoma
Oklahoma (EPA Region 6) is fully authorized to implement its own Hazardous Waste Cleanup Program under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is the lead agency responsible for implementing and enforcing the state’s hazardous waste program. Within the DEQ, the Hazardous Waste Permitting and Corrective Action Section manages corrective action activities and issues permits for treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs). The Compliance and Enforcement Section conducts inspections, investigates complaints, and oversees compliance with hazardous waste management requirements across industrial facilities.
