Hazardous waste cleanup programs - Ohio
Ohio (EPA Region 5) is fully authorized to implement its own Hazardous Waste Cleanup Program under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The program is administered by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization (DERR), which manages the investigation and cleanup of contaminated and hazardous waste sites. In addition, DERR oversees core activities such as permitting, inspection, regulatory compliance, and reporting related to hazardous waste.
