Tennessee incorporates by reference the federal regulations for hazard communication (HazCom). However, Tennessee's state requirements regarding HazCom include some additional requirements. Click the link(s) below to view the applicable requirements.
Annual refresher training as well as recordkeeping of that training;
Firefighter protection, which, generally, requires certain coordination between the employer and the fire chief, including the providing of workplace chemical lists and safety data sheets to the fire chief, and requires that the employer post certain signs warning of flammable, poisonous, or radioactive materials;
Workplace chemical lists, which generally, requires employers to compile and maintain such lists and details the information that must be on such lists.
